The children!!!

Hello blog people!!!

When I was child ,one of my favorite games was "elastic", is a very fun game, I used to play with my sister and brother in the  backyard, were good times!!! and playind with mud. I wanted to be an artist, painting and a professional dancer...

I love being around children, children are fantastic, amazing, children, is a world to doscover, children always make me happy!!! Childrean  are the same as 50 o 100 years ago, just change the context, the word.

The role of the teachers is first and foremost to be that of a learner alongside the children, The teacher is a teacher-researcher, a resource and guide as she/he lends expertise to children. The most important thing children need is love, respect, play and listening to children.

There were, if I want to have children...in the future I will know....

I like my profession, I think is the most important in today's society.

I would love, have my own kindergarten.

Movies in my life!

I believe that movies play an important role in society because they give culture and entertainment  to viewers of all ages. Also movies show us some parts of the world's reality, that not everyone can see. I think that cinema can meet us with  diferent people.

I think you can also learn a lot from movies, especially when they are documentaries with interesting thematics for any kind of people.
As well as teachers we can use them as an educational resource in our classrooms.
Personally I prefer the films of terror, drama,Science fiction, cinema art and the Italian cinema, I like the director Spike Jonze an his movie Adaptation and the grand Being Jhon Malkovich, also i like the Italian cinema and the nostalgic movie Rosso come il cielo.

The last movie I saw in the cinema was, "Violet went to heaven", and I loved it. I was so excited, I also learned of whether life and folk culture of this country.

PAULO FREIRE

"There is a practice of freedom, and there is a practice of domination. Today, we move, we are, we live, we suffer, we yearn and die, in societies where the practice is exercised domination. Do not lose anything if we try a new pedagogy. On the contrary, we can win a new society, a new man, a new tomorrow."

He studied philosophy and psychology of language at the same time. He joined the legal bureaucracy but never practiced law, preferring to Portuguese classes in high school.
In 1946 Freire was appointed Director of Education and Culture Department of Social Services in the state of Pernambuco, the state of his hometown's capital. Working primarily among the poor who could not read or write, Freire began to take an unorthodox approach of what can be considered a variation of the theology of liberation. At that time, literacy was a requirement for voting in the Brazilian presidential elections. In 1961 he was appointed director of the Department of Cultural Extension of Recife University, and in 1962 had the first opportunity to apply his theories significantly, when they were taught to read and write to 300 workers in sugar cane plantations in such only 45 days. In response to these achievements, the Brazilian government approved the creation of thousands of cultural circles across the country. In 1964 a military coup ended the project: Freire was imprisoned as a traitor for 70 days. After a brief exile in Bolivia, Freire worked in Chile for five years for the Christian Democratic Movement for Agrarian Reform and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

In 1967, Freire published his first book, Education as the practice of freedom. The book was well received, and was offered the post of visiting professor at Harvard University in 1969. The year before he wrote his famous book Pedagogy of the Oppressed, published in English and Spanish in 1970

Is my favorite character of education and history because it brings criticism to the classroom, respect the autonomy of the student. It takes education beyond the classroom. Because education is a reflective process, the pedagogy is a process tranformation.

The education is liberation!

Back from the past!

The photographs are so many memories, good times keep, I like taking pictures on holidays, celebrations, birthdays, etc...

When I was a child, every summer, we went on vacation to the beach Horcón, with my family, brothers, cousins, uncles, grandparents and parents. It was great fun, being together, laughing, playing, and singing ... Many good memories.

The photograph was taken in Valparaiso, in the new year. We rented a house in the Playa Ancha, for about 4 days, where we all remember our childhood together.

I do not remember who took the picture, we took many photos that night was the night New Year. We climbed to the roof of the second floor to see the fireworks show and wait for midnight. In the photograph I am, my sister Tania and brother Camilo, we are watching the fireworks show, with our family, drinking champagne and enjoying a memorable night!!!

On the roof of the house, we were all cousins, and on the terrace my uncles, grandparents and parents. Never happened before the New Year in Valparaiso, is a magical city, with culture, art and bohemia, I love the streets, hills, and people.  The house was very nice, a typical house in the city, with a beautiful ocean view.

They were very special days, we enjoy family, sharing, meals, conversations, we were all very well, I think it was an unforgettable experience. I chose this picture because it is the only one that we are almost all the brothers, just miss my brother, but is one of the many beautiful pictures that we took that night.

Visit Valparaiso, is a memorable placeespecially at New Year or on vacation.

Schools get power to remove poor teachers within a term

Under the new arrangements, first announced last May, schools will be able to remove poor teachers from the classroom quickly. The process currently takes a year or longer.

The three-hour limit on observing teachers in the classroom will also be scrapped, to allow schools to decide on observation times. And teachers will be assessed every year against a set of key skills known as Teachers' Standards. The measures cover state schools in England.

The Department for Education is also consulting on proposals that would place a duty on schools to share information – if requested – on whether a teacher had been investigated for poor performance. This is aimed at stopping poor teachers being shuffled from school to school.

Speaking on BBC's Today programme, Michael Gove, the education secretary, said headteachers should be able to intervene more often and more quickly when "alarm bells were ringing and the red lights were flashing" over a teacher's incompetence.

Gove said that with the "right support", many teachers could improve their performance.

For other part, two teachers' unions condemned the move as "unnecessary and draconian", with one leader calling it a "potential bully's charter".

Christine Blower, general secretary of the National Union of Teachers, said: "The changes to the appraisal and capability policies will rightly be seen by teachers as an attack on their professionalism and will anger and depress them in equal measure."
She added: "What the government proposes is potentially a bully's charter. The union believes that many well-functioning schools, where development and professionalism is prized, will not adopt Mr Gove's model.

"If schools are serious about addressing the issue of teacher competence should it arise, they must do it in a fair fashion and not be constrained by a one-term time limit. It is far better to improve teachers than to seek measures to sack them."

"Digital Camera"

My favourite piece of technology is a camera, Fujifilm FinePix S8100fd. My boyfriend bought in 2009 in the Pc factory store, is the best buy in recent years.

I use the camera, in the special moments  my life, as birthdays, partys and especially in travels. I use ... sometimes, especially in travels, the last travels was, all around Perú, we took many photos in Machu picchu, is a place great, is cosmic, wonderful, has a special energy... is a  unique place to photograph.

What i love about my camera is that it enbales me to get up close with the super macro (min. 1cm) option. I use this all the time and photos always turn out brilliant. If you want to get even closer you can press the up navigation key which crops the photo when you take it. It also comes with plenty of other features too, lots in the Scenic area. Oh and the zoom is amazing , and the controls are well positioned for one-handed operation. About the only thing I don't like is the on/off switch, a slider that you have to be careful to push all the way over and hold for a split second to get the camera to turn on.
